Agencies

When booking a vacation for your next exciting destination, finding the right travel agency should be your main concern. Luckily, each site has been carefully reviewed to determine who are the best agents, and who is just a waste of time. Some sites will only offer average flight rates and hotel packages, while others are just a link to another travel website. We know how valuable time can be, and wouldn't you rather spend more time preparing for your vacation than relentlessly searching through the internet for the best deal? Just take a glance at these sites and you'll find agencies offering deals up to 70% off, with discounted airfare and cash back incentives. Finding the right travel agency just got easier.

itravelosophy.com
Although itravelosophy.com can facilitate their services to any age bracket, the agency specializes in the educational and youth travel abroad market. They offer international fares at a noticeably discounted rate and have student-friendly features such as open-ended tickets and flexible date changes. An extensive list of worldwide hostels and rail info allows for easy-to-find cheap accommodation and transportation. The friendly appearance, great prices and travel advice show that Travelosophy works with the student traveler in mind.
travelzoo.com
The name of this site may be misleading because of the chaos it suggests. The site is in fact appealing because of its simplicity, with the home page stating the number of results each for category. And their deals are some of the best I found. Because a lot of their prices are last- minute or mid- week they have some great offers if you can travel on their specified dates. A great place to book your next trip for really cheap.
cheaptickets.com
You will find here an extensive site with huge variety of options including last minute trips and deals links with good prices. Their “need ideas?” box is handy, offering suggestions based on their top seller trips and if you join their “cheap tickets gold” membership base you are entitled to benefits including special member pricings and, most excitingly, cash back. The site is comprehensive, but just mediocre in appeal, little set apart from other big name sites like Travelocity or Expedia.
sidestep.com
This company calls themself the travelers search engine. You place one request for an airline, hotel, and/or rental car and the site finds quotes from various other sites based on your information. This site has the ability to compare prices with multiple sites, but you have to download the Sidestep toolbar first. The articles written about Sidestep as posted on the site are up to date and very fair in noting that the site lacks status as the be- all-and-end-all of travel searching, because companies like Expedia.com and Travelocity.com don’t allow their deals onto Sidestep.
traveldiscounters.com
This website has a very simple and unimpressive homepage. But their fast fare finder search engine has access to more than 750 airlines plus hundreds of privately negotiated fares. The site’s simplicity actually works against it in making it seem perhaps untrustworthy. I might be skeptical of booking with them and ever receiving anything- except that PC World has given the site a commendable review. There are extensive budget vacation offers and they are presented in a handy click down list making them easy to skim for attractive ones.
onetravel.com
Offering over 54,000 hotels worldwide, and the chance of saving up to 70% on vacation packages, this site contains some good information. Furthermore, their internet only specials link offers something unique, and their hotel discounts are reasonable. Their option to search budget vacation packages return exciting destinations like Acapulco and as such, offer a good range options for those on tight funds. This website is very manageable and has a good selection of tempting pictures. If nothing else, the site is very pleasant to use.
quotebuddy.com
A decent site that offers discounted air tickets and hotel bookings. Its rates seem average, not the best on the internet. Their destination guides however are very useful, and offer their own complied information as related links to your searched location. Whilst the site doesn’t offer a lot by way of photography, their detailed research of the countries on offer is reassuring and informative.
gocheap.com
This site doesn’t require you to register with them before searching, but promote that if you do, their personalized travel service will help you search and book more quickly and efficiently. This is ok if you have the time, but I felt like this might just be a way of subscribing me to their monthly newsletter. Their deals page has a long selection of reasonably priced hotels of all ratings, and their hotel information is fantastic, with colorful photos and virtual tours. On the downside though, searching all their deals promises to be very time consuming.
asaptickets.com
When you visit this site, you will notice that it only sells flights but offers discounts of up to 50%. They market themselves by claiming their ability to manually check that an automatic reservation system bypasses allows them to surpass competition. The company offers customers to speak to professional travel agents over the phone, which is always a perk.
allairfare.com
This website's claim to fame is that they have over 600,000 vacation packages with saving up to 70%. Their information related to their package holidays seems bizarrely vague and confusing and once you have selected a hotel you are asked to choose an add-on flight which makes no sense if you are trying to book a package. Furthermore, their vacation packages link takes you to onetravel.com anyway.
tiss.com
This site offers a choice of 30 million cheap flights and has recently adopted the new name flights.com which is likely to increase its popularity greatly. The site has a discount hostels webpage offering a huge number of reasonably priced, decent looking accommodation in a vast array of locations, and all in all this is a Great well rounded site with a simple but helpful layout and really reasonable flight prices. Furthermore, their destination guides are extensive and offer reams of historical and current information.
airlineticketssite.com
This website is actually the Discover world tours agency, and is another site priding themselves on low airfare. They will only show the lowest prices available for purchase and will not return prices that can’t be bought there, which can be so frustrating and misleading on other sites. Their long-haul destinations list is good; however they don’t offer flights within the USA or to Canada or the Caribbean. But the most irritating part of this site is having to submit your details for a ‘free price quote service’ and wait for an email response, which is not great if you’re trying to do quick research and price comparing.
sightquest.com
This site promotes topic-specific websites but is a general search engine with a travel section. It has dozens of listings of travel agencies, both big and smaller, more specialized ones but it is just that- links to a variety of travel related sites. Their listings are definitely extensive but it is hard to ascertain what makes their results different from any other search engine.
