CHEAP STUDENT AIRFARES RESOURCES
If you are looking for cheap student airfares start with STA Travel. They are the largest student travel agency in the world, with a few brick and mortar offices, offering cheap airfare tickets, student discount travel, and student travel insurance. STA Travel negotiates with airlines to offer these student airfares, which are usually 20-50% cheaper than published fares you would see on sites dealing with travel like Expedia, Hotwire.com, and Orbitz.
STA Travel can book your flight, your hotel/hostel, tours, rail, insurance, and even study abroad and work abroad opportunities! They also sell the popular ISIC card that can get you further discounts when you travel overseas!
Student Universe is another popular site for cheap student airfares . StudentUniverse.com validates your student status by your email, so you don't need to purchase the ISIC card like you do with STA Travel to purchase dirt cheap airfare! Student Universe also books student airfare, hotels/hostels, tours, rail, and special deals. SU recently launched FarePlay, where you tell them where you are leaving from and they give you deals all over the world from your departure city. There are about 15 themes to choose from in FarePlay, including cities with hot women, cities with hot men, top ten world cities, and study abroad. You simply click your departure city, and airfares appear. I tried top ten world cities from Los Angeles, and with one click I had fares to San Francisco ($99), New York ($212), Rome ($640), Bangkok ($740), Florence ($762), Sydney ($861), Buenos Aires ($891), Istanbul ($935), and Cape Town ($1,463).
TravelCUTS is the third student travel agency we love for cheap student airfares. Their home page covers a lot of must-haves for cheap student travel, including cheap student travel insurance, europe student travel, and youth hostels bookings.
